Solo twin, 2101, 090, contra, 066, 044, John Deere twin, McCulloch super pro 125, 346xp, Dolmar 166

That is all I can think of right now. I am no chainsaw connoisseur so I am sure my choices are rather bland/generic for some of you. The only two I would take money out of savings to buy today would be for a mint Solo twin or mint Contra.

I'm not sure I'd even buy that wild thing I've had my eyes on without asking a few questions:msp_tongue:

Homelite 3100g, 995g, and 750 are pretty good ones. McCulloch 797, 125s, and any with a 101 kart engine. Dolmar 166, 153, and the CT. Jonsered 111 and 1020.

Solo twin 090 contra John Deere twin McCulloch super pro 125 any with 101 b engine wright blade saws poulan 44 2 man mall 7 2man disston da 211

I don't know about you guys but I've had an urge to get a skil 1690. a dolmar 166 would be really cool also :biggrinbounce2:

Poulan 5400, PP655, Husky 3120, Mac 125, The big remington which I think is a SL-7(can't remember)....I could fill up this list of 10 and then some very easily so I'm gonna stop now.

Thats actually a tough question and requires a bit of thought....a mix of collector priorities & practical properties. For me priorities include the collector sense of unique saws...but the highest priority are the ones that are fun to build and tincker with and can be practical. Thats why the 200 series, 300 series Husky's and 820-930 Jreds. Fun saws to build and tinker with, but do the real meat of the work around the farm too. Hobby paying off by facilitating real work.

1) Solo twin....Just the king of cool.
2) Echo twin. Pipe dream..like the Solo probably can't afford one when I do find one.
3) McCulloch 797 (Let one go...kicking myself)
4) Homelite 750 (Have one..need clutch & cover)
5) Jonsered 930, Jonsered 920 :) Just like them, have 4
6) Any Husqvarna 365/372 Chassis based saw, any Jonsered 2065 thru 2172 as well. My Jonsered 2172 is the real deal. My 365 with a 371 topend tinkered saw has turned into the main "work horse" saw here. Practical tinckering.
7) Jonsered 2094/95 Have one, Really want the ones with compression releases...
8) Homelite 8800 (540's too)(have a nice 540..and 8800 top end looking for a saw)
9) Any Stihl 044 thru MS460 saw made before they started with crappier cylinder castings.
10) Any New Husqvarna 555 thru 562 or Jonsered 2258 thru 2260 chassis saw. Love these new ones. My 555 is the real deal for a farm saw.
11) Any old Husqvarna with the medium sized chassis from 61's thru 272's (Jonsered 625 thru 670 as well). Fun to tinker with and still useful....have my 1978 white top rancher built with a 272 top end. Lots of tinkering fun.
12) Solo 603...

So many saws..so little money....:msp_sleep:

242xp, 346xp, 372xp, 562xp, 5100s, 166, 064, solo Rex, jonsereds 920super, and a 3120 for giggles.

There are rare saws that'd be neat to have that aren't on my list. Most of the saws listed above would get quite a bit of use.

Any running or non running fully intact parts saws, that are 90cc and up for less then 100$. Thats what I call a no question asked no brainer buy.:givebeer:
