well at the moment i need a skidder operator, or a timber cutter, or a cdl truck driver,or a mechanic or ,,,,,,,,, man there just isnt enough of me to go around. the gtg will be pretty easy to get ready for a few weekends in advance so im not really worried about it at the moment. its the day job thats beeting my a$$ at the moment. today i broke four new chokers and blew two hoses on my grapple. cant skid logs with no working grapple and all but 1 choker broke. its a new challenge every day , wonder what will go wrong tommorrow..........:dizzy:

Sorry about the rough day, been having a few of those myself lately. Can't help with your day job, but if you need some help with the gtg when it gets closer just let me know. I don't have a problem helping someone that bust their azz, it's the lazy azz that I have a problem with. Good luck!

Well . . . . let's see. If I help by cutting timber, I may be able to drop it on the skidder. And if I'm lucky, it will roll off of the skidder and into the truck. So that takes care of the need for a timber cutter, skidder operator, and truck driver. The downside of this is that the mechanic will be really pissed.

Let me know where and what time I should show up. :)

dont know about using fairground yet becouse of it being a chainsaw gtg they are worried about the liability of some one getting hurt but if they say no we can still use my field. i have 3 acres beside the house that will hold us minus my garden and we can set up by the barn for cutting and such. either way we can gtg. i have squares lined up for cutting instead of hauling logs unless people prefer logs if so i will bring logs too. anyone planning on attending please give me a private message to let me know so i can kinda get a count for how many to expect. i think the june 19th date is what were shooting for if everyone is in agreement if not shoot some dates and lets nail it down.

Sounds like a good date to me. It wouldn't be bad to have a few big logs to play with some of the bigger saws.

June 19th is good for me. If it was a little closer I could throw a few logs on my self loader and drive it down.

Just so's I can get my bearings here--- west of K-ville, but not as far west as Cookeville? North or South of 40?
I can make it to Cookeville in about 4.5 hours, and I may have a business trip up there around that time. You wouldn't think I was a poser if I pulled up in the Company car, would ya? (I work for Mercedes-Benz)

Not at all a friend of mine use to haul saws around in the back of his Caddy Allante all the time.

You are correct. It'll be just about 1/2 way between Cookeville and Knoxville . . . north of I-40. From the interstate, it'll take you about 35-45minutes to get to the fairgrounds.

In fact, it might not be a bad idea to meet somewhere, say McDonalds just off of exit 347, at a specific time then caravan up to Morgan Co. That whole area is very rural and it's easy for an out-of-towner to get lost if you miss a turn.

I'd be happy to escort a group up there.

Ctg

maybe dualing saws but sorry no banjos here, unless you got one.

I would really like to come, but will have a 3 week annual training during June this year (National Guard). My unit is getting ready to deploy next year. I am in Athens, about 1.5 hours south from Sunbright. I was in Oneida's unit until a month ago, so I am familiar with the area. DANG IT!!!!! I will try to catch the next one. Have a blessed day.

Trever

If I were coming, I would bring my banjo and git fiddle!!!

Yeah, id say the fairgrounds would frown on that. They have to cover there a$$ too. Cant blame them, the way some people are these days, not saying anybody on here is like that. Unless something comes up,and i dont plan on nothing, ill be there.

Me and Dad will be there. With a truckload of saws :)

Looking forward to it

And no alcohol, does that mean no shine :D Just kidding.
