I have a plasma cutter so I cut slots (teeth) in mine. Works great in the coals. also in the mornning to get tha ash into the ash pan. :monkey:

When we had our first real cold snap this winter, i found myself needing one too. I was given a couple old sets of fireplace tools last year, and just stuck one of the shovels in my vise and bent it. What the heck........ it was free !

pull your hand back 90 degrees to your arm, then tap a 1/2x20 thread into your forearm, thread your hoe handle to match than just screw it in. You can be forever known as haywire hoehand.
