I have a Remington PL-55 power head that I recently acquired. On it is a Tillotson carb -model HS-42A. Mike Acres site lists HS-80A,B, 81-A, and 129A for the carbs on that model.Will the 42A work on a 82cc saw? Just wondering if someone in the past changed the carb on this saw.
As an aside, does anyone out there collect Remington's? I gather from this site the Mac ,Pioneer and Homelite have a good following but not many mentions of Remington. Was looking for a little history on these saws. I have a few now, PL-4,5,55, SL-9 and a SL-9 in John Deere paint. I really like them and they are fun to cut my firewood with. Missed a really nice 754 on Ebay a while back. Was out bid in the dying seconds. Next time...!
