Tips to winterize chainsaws

2. Clean your chainsaw
3. Apply oil to metallic components and moving parts
4. Drain fuel from the machine or add a stabilizer
5. Winterize the engine using oil
6. Check the air filter for damage, replace or clean it
7. Storing your chainsaw during winter

I personally do nothing but my mate was telling me how he winterzies his saws he starts by removing the bar and chain and then drops the saw in a 5 gallon bucket of water. When the water freezes solid it seals the saw from oxygen and oxidation of metal parts.
I told him nah mate he must be pulling my leg but he reckons true dinks never fail him.

Store it? How about use it!! No mosquitoes, not drenched in sweat, no yellowjackets in your wood pile, winter is a great time to cut!
