When planting time comes around I would remove them from the pots knock off as much of the potting soil as possible to loosen the roots. Planting them bare root may take a little longer but will increase chances of establishment. Being root bound is a common problem and could lead to root girdling if not corrected prior to planting. If you have fairly good soil there I would think that for the most part soil amendments will probably not be needed. Good Luck!
