I removed this tree from someone's property as they are clearing it for a better view. First tree I was asked to take down was this. Not sure what it is. It's splits pretty easy. Very brittle. Snapped at the hinge when a fell it. Not alot of warning.

its box elder, it has very similar bark to mulberry and I thought it was mulberry the first time I saw a box elder tree. but the wood is white colored. and box elder is a softwood. it splits easy, the branches break easy.

That's my first impression ,but then he said the wood was white. OK but no red coloring inside was mentioned. Maybe some are not marked with red?
