I live in Helper Ut. And I have an opportunity to go through a 80 acre area and clear beetle killed logs. There is a fair density of beetle kill. (Around two thirds) heavy to medium tree density property wide. A portion of this is UP&L and a potion is privately owner. My problem is removal from the site to sawmill. I have a 1 ton pickup and 16 foot trailer so I could feasibly carry 6 to 8 of these large logs at one time. However I don't see me making much money bringing an hour of work for the sawmill at a time. I was wondering if anyone had any info on hiring a truck? Or possibly consigning with a truck.
