I noticed the other day that the glass gasket at the top inside corner is loose and there is a gap of about an inch. This may have been caused by back puffing that I had happen back in the beginning of winter, (this is my first experience with wood heat) which is how i found this site because i had no idea what was happening.

My question is do i nee to fix this now or can i wait until i finished for the season and do all the maintenance at once. Stove appears to be working fine and is not running away or anything like that. Ideas?

I'm not sure how big a job it is to change it , but I would get the gasket now. You should be ok running it until the end of the season if its working alright so far. You could always put it in on the warm days ahead when you aren't burning if you have it on hand.
