I posted this in the equipment forum, but thought it may get a little more action here...
I have a 1400xl with 1000 hrs on it. It chips well, but if I try to put through a 6" or bigger log the Left feed roller won't slide out of the way. The right one slides out of the way just fine. If I try to jam a 8" log through the log will get stuck because the right roller will max out, and the left stays in the middle. They both seem to spin fine. I've lubed the plastic slider "shims" and if I release the springs both rollers slide to the side easily.
Is there some type of bearing I need to replace to keep the roller from getting jammed?
