Bogging when you accelerate isn't compression.

If you have a points model, check or replace your condensor, and clean/adjust the points.

Impulse line? Fuel line leak?


Don't sweat the fuel spitback - they all do, and get worse as the piston skirt wears.

Learned something new from post # 8.Fuel spitback as the piston skirt wears. Hmmm.
 
Rocky, spitback on older reed type saws usually means one or more reeds is cracked, broken, or stuck open. An older Homelite I have went from running good to won't run above idle awhile ago, lots of spitback too. Had a chunk missing from a reed.
