What can i expect to get out of my 880?

I have an 880 with a 30" new bar and 2 chains. Compression is at 135 but have new rings ready to freshen it up. New west coast dogs and smooth dogs included. Located in mid Missouri .

What are you looking to get?

Refresh the rings, run it and recheck compression, put some pictures up.

I would scope the bore, or take a good look at the cylinder once disassembled. Probably scuff the walls to help with the new rings. Carefully inspect piston and bearings too.

Here is it not warmed up. Needs tuned also.

Pull the muffler and see if the piston is score.

Its not the powerhead that does that, its the bar! (and the extra 4lbs of fuel and oil)

So whats it worth?

Video of it running in some big wood say 30 to 40 inches would be nice. But it's worth some money depends on how it runs and cuts.

Hone the cylinder, new rings, and crank seals. Or do a pressure/vacuum test bare minimum. Doubt it has a air leak with a piston and cylinder that clean but doesn’t hurt to check.
