What part of CT are you in? I'm in the market for a splitter.Kinda what I was thinken, 500 or so. Just bought a new one for 999.00
Looks like regular new price there in the US goes for about $1100 for that make and model.I'm looking to sell my old splitter and really have no idea what to ask for it. Any help would be appreciated.

the new one is 27 ton and 11 second cycle time. i have around 15 big oaks that the gypsy moths killed and hope to sell some wood to pay for new toy.I agree it's not the best time to be selling. Most are not busy with wood for 2-3 years from now like I am.
Something led you to a new splitter for $999, so whatever that is needs to factor in. Unless you got a hell of a deal your new splitter is likely pretty similar to the old one. So why the new one?
There's two approaches depending on your desire to haggle......start high ($850 as suggested above, willing to settle foe maybe $500) or $500 to maybe $600 and pretty darn firm on price.
