What type of winter boots do you wear?

Interesting thread, as I'm looking also.

I,ve gone thru several pairs of the Sorel Caribou's and others, one pair of the Sorel's acted like the rubber rotted after a short time.
In the off seasons I started bagging these rubber types in a plastic garbage
sack, and has seemed to help in keeping more life in the rubber.

Kind of thinking static here might be part of the problem & as in, if they are left/stored on carpet its even seems to be worse.
 
I wear steel toe and shank Timberland work boots with treated full grain leather to keep dry. I wouldn't consider chainsawing w/o steel toes.

If I'm working in thick wet brush, I wear a pair of Outdoor Research Gore-Tex lined gaiters over my Carhartts and under the chaps.

If I'm in low traction I strap the Stabilicers to my boots. Lots of accessories, yes, but makes for a more versitale set up than a pair of caulks.
