I'm talking about the exterior. I already know the best way to keep the inside clean is to keep it blazing, seems to keep the glass clean too...

I want to clean the ashes and dust off the exterior, and I was told that I shouldn't wipe it with anything wet? Don't know if this is true, but I figured I would ask the community first.

If anybody has any pointers, please let me know. I was planning to just wipe it down with a moist cloth, but I'm not sure.

For glass door damp crumpled newspaper dip in the ash in the pan & rub turn & re dip as required out side brush of with dry paint brush (when cool)wipe with damp cloth & allow to dry there is a graphite paste stove black & other trade names used like shoe polish
