Getting my xl2 up and going. Combined 2 into 1. Minor problem is there is a very little white death on it. I wire brushed using my drill and was able to expose “clean” magnesium. Because of this I want to paint the saw. Before that happens I need to do a little body work on the former white death.
Can anyone recommend a product (bondo?) that will accep primer, paint, and clear? TIA

I have an 8-1/4" Skil worm gear saw that has some of the white death. Is there anything that will stop it? I had the feeling that it was like cancer and "once it's in there, it's just a matter of time."

Will coating it with something (epoxy maybe) stop it from progressing? I just slathered it with some oil I had in the shop and crossed my fingers. Any tips? I really like that saw...it's got more torque than a diesel tow truck...
