Hello all your wood burners! Industry has been working with regulators on a new test method for wood heaters. Specifically, testing with cord wood. Unfortunately, the lack of real world user data has resulted in many assumptions being mentioned. Industry formatted a survey to help over come these assumptions. That's where you come in as a wood burner.

Please click on the link below and complete the industry survey. You might even win a $100 Amazon gift card. Thank you in advance for your support of this survey and to the owners of this site for providing a forum to collect such valuable data. The data will be public in the late fall as it will be presented to the EPA.

Filled it out over on Firewood hoarders. Should I fill it out again? I can use my wife's e-mail at the end.

Just finished the survey. I found that some of the questions were too vague or didnt match how I burn, given time of year. I answered as best I could, but would have liked an opportunity to place notes under some of the questions. For example I get my chimney professionally cleaned and inspected every other year, but I sweep it monthly. The questions regarding shoulder season vs burn season were particularly difficult to answer, as we burn based on the need to heat the house. It would seem the survey was geared towards people using wood as supplemental heat and not their only heat source. Hopefully my answers were helpful.
