I'm always trying to handle wood more efficiently and trying to make life easier. This usually costs money. Good saws, a Cat backhoe, an old 2 ton truck with hoist, log splitter with log lift and a Farmi log winch have all improved my efficiency. The newest contraption is a small belt conveyor my dad bought at an auction for $600. We use it to handle seed, but it doubles great for piling my shed with wood. If you see one of these for sale and don't like to stack wood (I find that really a miserable job and a waste of time), pick it up. Works great.

I like the shed too. Who makes it? Is it a modified quonset hut mounted to a wooden "foundation"?

Comes from a company called Farmtek out of Iowa. Pretty simple to put up. Build two parallel walls and mount the poles on it. I think I did the whole thing for under $4000.
