Wood id help please

The first 3 images is from one tree. The last two is from a different tree. Im thinking the first tree is elm. Any ideas? Thanks

1st is dead red elm (good stuff), 2nd is white elm (nasty stuff).

I cut the same as you pictured. Red elm IS my favorite.

I don't like cutting live elm though. Too much infected with elm disease and dying/dead to cut live trees.

Get it dry, and it burns.
Somewhere between Ash and Red Oak on my scale.

Splitting it sucks, but it will heat your home better than any wood ya gotta buy.
