Deer proof or deer resistant? I know of a place with 10' fences that deer still get in. :surprised3:


OK you are correct. Deer can get over an 8' fence. However they won't jump an 8' fence just to trash trees. In the past the bucks would rub young trees and break them off at ground level.

Oh yeah, they'll probably move on to easier rubs rather than go over a fence. Those are some beautiful looking trees and property you have there though so it's no wonder they are coming around for that kind of fruit. Heck, we have some scrub apple trees on a few properties surrounding me and you can scare up deer around them many mornings from now through winter.
