Hi, was burning alot of wood, so I look into my woodmaster stove and found out the top of the boiler never had any insulation on it, went and bought some insulation and wow...what a differnce, now just wondering if I should look into some other insulation or is the stuff i bought at menards good enough....thanks

how much wood were you burning? how did you notice there wasn't insulation on top?

I've got a heatmaster and it has regular fiberglass insulation wrapped around it. I still have a piece in the back that I haven't put back in after installation.
I need to get it put back in. I fill mine twice a day.

I added more insulation in the roof of my Heatmore over the summer and it really has made a big difference. What was there had settled way down. I could tell last winter it needed more by how fast the snow melted off the roof.
