My two favorites are Farmer Loggers and Swarp.

A bad tempered and feared yarder engineer asked me about another crew working nearby and then pronounced them to be "Farmer Loggers". An equipment repair guy also mentioned "They look like Farmer Loggers" . It was not a compliment.

Swarp? It was a very local term used back in the days of clearcutting. As in, "We will just swarp it." I have since found out that it is a term native to the Southern Appalachians. The local area I lived in had folks who migrated from East Tennessee.

"Swarp" is a goodun. I'm also fond of "yard that boy outta there" for "grab that thing for me".

I use both terms frequently, forgetting that I live on a different planet, now. Swarped out my pickup the other day.

One of my favorites is Slopping Back Cut. @paccity gets the credit for coming up with that one.

Sattin' back is a good one. The guy who uses that term is an excellent faller. He'd say "It's sattin' back" or "they'll sat back on ya." He is one who knows.

I used this one conversationally just a few days ago. It's a favorite of mine too.
