Jet screw springs

How important are the springs on the high and low speed jet screws?

I guess if the screws vibrate loose, well then they are.

Very,,, in my experience,,, keeps the screw where its set...

If you are missing one, vibra-tite will work, but a spring is probably cheaper.

I've heard it said that you can spray the threads with spray paint, let it dry, and they will hold position. Loctite also makes a low-strength threadlocker for adjustable screws.

This is the best stuff I have ever used. Clean the threads, brush it on, let dry, install screw. I've used it on a couple guns as well as other things. Works great.

Yeah, that's why I use the vibra-tite, it's made for adjustable screws.

Drop by your local mower shop, most guys keep old junk carbs..

I have a junk Sthil saw and even a Polan pro saw I am waiting on parts to surface for and those springs are too big.

The ball point pen springs are a little long it seems but shoild be able to nip a bit off to shorten it.

Now where did that magnet go I made inside a really tiny hose?
