    Yardmax 4-way Wedge for Hardwood

What's up Dean? or is it Sal? Seems like some companies are trying to bankrupt themselves...doesn't seem like Yardmax is one of them though. Seems like Yardmax is selling equipment that is well built and designed with many features included in the price that other companies charge more to...

    Yardmax 4-way Wedge for Hardwood

thanks. Are you splitting hardwood or softwood? Did you pay $150+ extra for it only to find out AFTER you received it that it is limited to straight grain soft wood because the manufacturer doesn't disclose the fact that it can't be used in hardwood on their website where it is purchased? W

    Yardmax 4-way Wedge for Hardwood

I know, right? That's what I said when I found out it comes from the factory with the 4-way and it doesn't cost $150+ extra. Looks like they actually designed it to be used in hardwood too, not just straight grain soft wood! Amazing!!!!! W

Been working my little guy some too: done about 10 stumps around the yard since I got it. Been working great. What's left of a 48" red oak stump cut about a year ago. Looking at their chipper next. W

    Yardmax 4-way Wedge for Hardwood

Just wondering if the Yardmax 4-way wedge is limited to just straight grain soft wood or if it can handle hardwoods? Yardmax splitters look quite robust and are competitively priced with some neat features. W

    Poplar

Yeah, i think it is the tulip poplar that stays green in the middle until exposed to sun...it can be bone dry but as soon as the customer sees the green they freak... W

    Poplar

Hate the stuff but is good camp wood. Stays green in the middle even when dry unless exposed to light for a few days. I find if I split it small it isn't green looking inside but rots quickly. Big splits keep looking green. W

    Dht vs yardmax splitter

Great wood. Just so you know, the 4-way is only approved for straight grain soft wood- no hardwoods. Voids warranty. W

Cool. Did you get a 4-way wedge system? What wood do you usually split? W

Want to Sell Stihl 026 Red Lever Scored Piston $180 shipped

Next up is a nice example of a 026 red lever. Scored piston. H/L adjustable carb. I think the bolt hole for the muffler may need to be chased- threads are a little wonky. Otherwise the pics tell the rest of the story. $180 shipped to the lower 48. W

No problem. You were right. I have bought a bunch on here but rarely sell. Last saw I got a good offer almost immediately so it worked for everyone. I'll put prices at what I need to get out of the saws and go from there. 660 is SPF. W
