My fix cut the factory knob off a drill and thread it for 1/4-20 cut off a 1/4in. Cairrage bolt. Threat it into the knob drill a hole for the choke wire and you're done.

I am looking for a couple choke knobs for the 3400`s. I have two saws that their broke on and cant find any.

I have couple craftsman 3.4

it`s also a welding and machine shop. all equipment runs off a shaft and pulley system.

Local amish chainsaw shop dropped it off for me. customer didnt want to put the money into it so the amishman saved it for me. He knows i collect them good to have friends.

Just put it back together this week. Hard to believe it was on that kind of condition

Must have been faulty from the factory and been sitting in a barn somewhere

Saw was given to me in a box as parts. It has very few hours on it. Someone didn't get much time on it before the thrust washer went out.

here it is all done and running good.

W Same thing here. 3700 clutch side thrust washer came apart and took out the bearing.

One more question since you were so quick on that one. What should be the crank end play on a 3700. And is it adjusted by the bearing location?
