    572xp or 395xp for 28-36” B&C?

Are you removing the original deflector and enlarging that whole and going through the baffle? Probably easier just to add the the wcs deflector with a 3/4 whole behind it and leave the existing one alone. I just add a pipe to mine and leave the stock one as is

    Carlton chain

I have not, once in a while I’ll find a cutter that is harder and won’t file but after grinding it once it’s fine

    Carlton chain

I have not used 91vxl myself just EXL Oregon and Carlton A1LM, all I run is 3/8

    Carlton chain

Oregon and Carlton are made in the same factory, both owned by Blount Industries. I am a dealer for both. The Carlton I get/sell comes in a blue/white box as well. I’ve sold a lot of 91vxl to a tree service and have not heard anything like what you described your experience with it as

    572xp or 395xp for 28-36” B&C?

They find they’re own tune, he won’t have to do anything different to it if it is or isn’t ported

    572xp or 395xp for 28-36” B&C?

Yes they sure do spice up quite well

    572xp or 395xp for 28-36” B&C?

Yea they do, a 572 balances perfect with a light weight 28 and has a touch nose drop with a light weight 32

    572xp or 395xp for 28-36” B&C?

I’d get a 592 before a 390 or 395. The OP said the saw will be mostly be used with a 28 any way so I say the 572 would be his best choice.

    572xp or 395xp for 28-36” B&C?

Yes I agree a 592 is an amazing saw for sure, the 572 is a dam good one as well as I have them both

    572xp or 395xp for 28-36” B&C?

Always digging in with the spikes instead of letting a sharp chain and saw do its thing. I have 2 ported 572’s and love them. They live with 28’s on them but have ran 32 and 36 on them without any problems but I have a 592 also so that gets the long bar work now

    572xp or 395xp for 28-36” B&C?

He would after you got done with it

    572xp or 395xp for 28-36” B&C?

How much will you be running a 36” bar on it? Are you heavy handed? Are you planning on leaving it stock? The 572 is only 70 cc saw and that’s pushing it for a 36” bar in stock form. If you’re just needing it to pull a 36 occasionally but it’ll handle the 28 quite well all the time. Kevin’s...

    First ported saw

I’m not a Stihl guy but I’d port the 460 before the other 2 mentioned

    A ranty on new husky

I have 2 2171’s and a 2175 and I pick my 572 every time. That and my 2260 are my 2 favorite saws to run. I’m no logger but I have plenty of time on them to know if they’re a problem child. I’ll admit I am brand loyal but I feel if something has treated me well I see no reason not to be. I think...

    A ranty on new husky

Interesting, I have 5 auto tunes and love them all, 2253,2-2260’s, 2258, and 572. Never had anything like you’re referring too with them. I’m a little suspect when the guy says “I’m a Stihl guy” then goes on a rant about how big of a pos a husky is. Kinda ironic you have 2 auto tunes and you...
