    I’m 25 years old. I help my dad run his firewood business during the winter and I have an outdoor boiler that keeps my family warm. Wouldn’t have it any other way!

    Optimum diameter for harvesting firewood?

    The bigger the better! Just not big enough to give me a hernia. Our splitter stands up horizontally for the big chunks. No it's not fun wrestling them, but I'm in the woods to make lots of firewood. We cut and split everything before loading it so that we don't have to handle the big chunks twice.

    Propane prices?

    I heat entirly with wood, but I still contract some lp in case of emergency. Got my contract for 1.29 a gallon here in rural Illinois. Not sure of the current price here.

    Going to buy a OWB, EPA or no?

    I'm up here in west central Illinois where the temperatures have been in the teens for the last week. The warmer it gets the more moisture there is, but even with these cold temps it never completely dries up. It also seems to be consistent whether I'm burning seasoned wood or not too seasoned...
