    MS 241 "anomalies"

I switched my 024 to 3/8 picco since I like the 241 so much with PS. I did the 024 conversion to a picco rim kit, 8 pin runs 61 DL and 7 pin runs 60 DL. I know the 8 pin is stretching that small saw's torque thin. But I'm only running a 16" bar and narrower kerf than stock

    MS241 MS250 024 shootout

I’ve owned a 250 and it doesn’t hold a candle to the o24/241. Totally different feel. The 026/261 is a great saw to but 1lb heavier makes a big difference after 4 hour straight. And for 1 more lb you can bump to the 362 which dwarves them both

    MS241 MS250 024 shootout

You can use these small saws for bucking small wood (12-14" max) and even felling small stuff if you're careful and don't have a bigger saw.

    MS241 MS250 024 shootout

I love reviving dead threads. I love the 241. It's so light. When doing extensive limbing/processing small stuff, it's a great saw to have in your hands all day. I got the last one on the shelf in Michigan. When cutting 10" hardwood, my 241 w/ Picco outcuts my Dad's 261 with .325. The...

Burn spot on my new Sugi bar

What about a burnt spot in the metal. Not the finish. I have that too. But I have a spot right at the base ove r the bar that looks like someone got close to it with a torch. I dont see it being a problem in using it. I dont care if the bar looks jacked. I just wonder what I did to it. It...

The Stihl 362 CM is a wonderful saw.

I like my 362 CM. My original 4 saw plan was 241 CM (amazing saw), 362 CM, 462 CM, 661 CM. Most bases covered there as I dont climb. I liked that lineup. I added an 036 PRO and I will get an 881 for milling once it's released. If it's never released, i'll get an 880 and port it. I will...

    Stihl 036 Pro

I love my 036 PRO, but it's not lighter than a 361. The 361 and My 362 CM are both 12.35 lbs vs. 12.6 lbs for the 036/036 PRO

036 clutch drum and bearing confusion

Well I'm famous for trying to revive old threads. I just picked up a, 036 pro. I believe it was made after 1995. Had they already updated the bearing at that point?
