Thank you. I will. I already ordered the oil pump gasket because it’s leaking. But I see no seas. It has the all plastic oil drive gear. Are there supposed to be seals on it?

It turns out the the piston and cylinder were perfect on the 028. So I will not be swapping the super cylinder over. It’s 44mm. I checked the piston ring gap to .010. Should I replace the rings with cabers or let em be??? I’ll be setting squish, widening the exhaust port a little, and...

Ok, great advice thank you! Just curious, what symptoms would the saw have had when they installed the diaphragm backwards and under the gasket?

Before I took it apart it passed a pressure and vac test. Would you still change the seals?

The saw is pretty clean. Doesn’t look that abused.

As I said the saw was taken apart and in a box. All pieces being there. Included was a carb kit bag with the old carb kit. The diaphragm was stiff. Like I could not bend it at all. Then I decided to take the carb apart. Yup it has a new kit in it, but.... The diaphragm was wrong and installed...

I’ll check the carb too. I pressure and vac tested it with the intake boot on. It is all original saw. And when taking the cylinder off the boot also looked fine. I grab some pics. Just for fun. FYI, I received the saw dismantled from a dealer. The stuff they throw out is amazing..

I need to fix an 028. Can I take a good 028 super top end and put it on? I wasn’t sure if the stroke was the same across the two saws? Thank you in advance.

The intake is crystal clean, exhaust side is all scored up. I’m gonna try and clean it up tonight or tomorrow.
