I started buying Husqvarnas in 1977. From 162's up through 185's and 2100. I have only a 162se now. I also have several caps. Some of them are vented with little holes along side the knob and a rubber seal inside. Others are not. Anyone know which caps were on which old saws and why? TIA

rwoods, your response is spot on. I took pictures when I took this out, and those pins were in the wrong way, and the gasket upside down to boot. All of which helps explain the leak. I hope. I'll fashion my own spring if I have to, and will report back to this thread.
