Milling / drying cedar for sauna

CAD in full swing... I have my ms290 for felling and firewood, a 395xp for milling, a Ms201tc (non m tronic) for limbing and screwing around in the yard and a 201tc mtronic (in pieces in a box I haven’t had time to clean and reassemble)... Anyways, eastern red cedars are hard to come by where...

Milling / drying cedar for sauna

Been milling and milling eastern red cedar for what feels like days upon days in hopes of making a wood fired sauna in my back shed. Needless to say, say it’s awkward trying to mill an 8” log with a 36” bar.... Has anyone had good luck drying wood in foam boxes with fans and a dehumidifier...

    Getting deep grooves in slabs

I’m no pro but I agree. Rocking back and forth will cause deep gouges and using old chains that are not properly sharpened. Also, I read bad things about mills that aren’t secured on both ends. I don’t remember where I read it but I read there could be an 1/8” difference between sides.... I...

    "You Suck" Thread 2019--Pics required!

Took a gamble and sold my 372xpw which needed work (new cylinder) for 210 and bought these 3 for 300. Looks like they've been rode hard and put down wet. I won't know anything till I get into them but the 395xp runs. I dont know about the 201s. Pretty dirty hopefully they'll clean up nice.

    Want to Buy 372 / 372xpw parts

I'd that p/c oem? Is it for the 372xp or 372xpw? Definately interested if it's what I'm looking for. Thanks everyone for the responses

    Want to Buy 372 / 372xpw parts

Are the hutzl parts interchangeable with OEM? Ideally I'd like to keep what I have that is husqvarna and replace what I can on the cheap (minus the cylinder head). I have feelers out there on a blown up saw so hopefully that helps with the plastics.

    372xpw fix or sell

So many choices! I posted another thread looking for parts. Does anyone know if hutzl parts are interchangeable with OEM? I'm going to buy an OEM cylinder head (once I get the part number) and buy whatever I can off Ebay. To help cut down on costs. Thanks everyone

    Want to Buy 372 / 372xpw parts

Pretty much... I think I'm in need of a spark plug too so I might just have a leaky gas cap.

    Want to Buy 372 / 372xpw parts

Looking to fix up a 372xpw. Ideally looking for a parts saw that's too far gone to repair. Need at a minimum: cylinder head, top plastics including mounting scews, air filter cover, muffler with screws / bracket, chain brake, wrap handle and other various parts and pieces... thanks

    372xpw fix or sell

Thanks for all the help everyone. I should have been more specific in my original post. I'm not looking to mill the monster logs I see everyone else doing.

    372xpw fix or sell

Thank you! That's what I was hoping to hear. Do you think the plastics, handle or chain brake are worth the added expense if I'm going to use it solely for milling? I'll just have to keep an eye on the chips to make sure nothing's getting where it shouldn't. If it is I'll have to adjust...

    372xpw fix or sell

I've been using my ms290 to cut up about 4 to 6 cord a year but sometimes I run into beautiful logs I wish I could mill into useable lumber. I came across this 372xpw with the intentions of buying an alaskan mill for and use solely as a lumber mill. I was planning on buying a muffler, bar...
