    Kit is a Farmertec MS180 that I bought to learn more about chainsaws. I have looked over Stihl MS180 parts list many times and am still having problems figuring out where these 3 parts go. I think the brass sleeve goes on a post on the top cover but it doesn't fit. No clue about other two parts...

    They did drill it, but drilled it off center. My only concern is a balance issue. That's what I was hoping to hear from others about.

    I understood the price difference between the Chinese kit and a Stihl when I bought it. Bought it for the experience and have learned a lot. The bigger saws are the good values, but don't need a big saw right now.

    Yep, looks like it was not drilled thru the center.

    Putting together a Hutzl MS180 chainsaw parts kit. Think I might better get a new piston pin before preceding. Will try to post a pic of both ends. What do you think?
