    Milling Some Black Walnut

That's actually great, I would love to get more into milling simply because of the variety of woods. Either way, thanks for sharing.

    Tree Services - Shredding

I can watch these videos forever. Their almost as fun as watching those power washing videos lol!

    Mulberry tree looks weak.

I'd give a call around first and see if anyone has decided to spend their time and money doing it first. In my experience sometimes you can get a hold of someone who actually knows someone who knows someone who can help and directs you to them. If you let them know you just want a moment of...

    Box elder maple

I completed agree, it's definitely soft much like other maples. I actually don't enjoy these trees simply because they are the one that my allergies can't stand, plus the box elder bugs that come with them can be somewhat irritating.

    Pawpaw Trees

Yes exactly, I haven't seen many that are stand alone that fair well. I know I can't be completely sure what shows up to help with the pollination but the paw paw's that I've seen rarely do well simply because it's hot enough for them to grow in my area. However, they fruit isn't produced in...

    Fiskars Axe is junk!!!!!

Super old post but yeah I think you're right. Their durability is great, some of the characteristics of them are pretty though out. But like you said - their not a magic wand. It's all about finding the right tool for the right job. The axe won't do that for you LOL!

    Stihl 064 Cylinder QUESTIONS???

Yes it does have a thinner base, which is why adjusting them has always been a pain. I would highly suggest that you keep the cylinder as you will find some use for it if you still plan on keeping with the work you're doing.

    Do you work out?

I can't suggest it enough. So many new training programs with this and that coming out, but the good ol' reliable always delivers results. I think people generally have an issue with this because either they don't like swimming or they don't like the idea of sharing a pool. But I'll say this...

    How would you work this?

I think it just depends on the comfort of people in general. Some don't feel comfortable on a ladder, or in a bucket, or even holding a chainsaw or axe. But then again, you would think that those who hold such opinions would avoid being an arborist in the first place. BTW, Thanks for the welcome.

    Do you work out?

Always keep in shape because I believe that if you keep yourself agile you'll be better off when you're in a situation which requires a bit more out of you. I try to get as much swimming in throughout the year because it gives an incredible workout, plus you never feel like you're going to die LOL!

    Pruning an old apple tree

I've found others who have used the staged approach and they've always reported good returns. I believe it just has to do with prepping the tree in a way that facilitates better growth long term.

    Tick questions

Highly recommend that you advise people in the article to always consult with the region/county that they are a part of to determine if increases or decreases are noticed. At least this way people can understand what amount of vigilance they will need to consider prior to going out. I know in...

LOL. You will find lots of people have that reaction when a ladder is mentioned.

    Anyone tree camp?

Friend of mine found themselves in a similar situation but they said that as long as they had a log on the fire that was somewhat wet and giving off more smoke, the mosquitos wouldn't bother them as much. Mind you I don't know how much the wind accounted for spreading around the smoke.

What trees don't like fall transplanting?

Is this from seed or drawf? Are you trying different sources here as well? I would imagine that you could probably find yourself a guide from provincial tree directory if they have one. I know that Ontario has one, it's a pain to navigate - but it's there.

    Pawpaw Trees

Wish I could agree. The hint is there but they definitely have a flavor of their own.

Growing white peach trees from peach Pitts.

Science is a big then when it comes to encouraging growth, especially when you can control the climate for the most part when in a nursery. I wouldn't be surprised that height limits would increase if the drawfs came from a nursery which really watched their growth cycle.
