That’s interesting I used it an think it’s the easiest starting / most user friendly saw. It would be great for a homeowner or someone with bad shoulders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Am I dumb or no? (Broken saw)

I will - selling on Facebook marketplace. Was offered 200 in less than 24 hours. I’m not worried I know I can get 180 all day. My 025 sold for 160 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Am I dumb or no? (Broken saw)

Stihl seems to hold its value in Wisconsin. More of a homeowner saw. Why do the easy starts fail is it due to improper use or bad design? It is so easy to start this saw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Am I dumb or no? (Broken saw)

All said and done I’m into this this for $90. Cleaned the carb and didn’t have to touch the settings. It idles and revs like it should. Hope to get it in some wood this afternoon and list it tonight. As for the tank a rubber grommet and brass barb did a decent job. New ms250s are $349. Retail...

Am I dumb or no? (Broken saw)

No point in having this pointless debate. I’ll leave it alone and my mind isn’t made up but I don’t think this saw is as busted up as others think. I guess we’ll see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think you guys are losing perspective on what actually needs fixing. The handle assembly is the ONLY thing stopping this saw from being worth $180-200. I sold an 025 a month ago with a rebuilt motor for 160. This one will be all OEM parts. The motor is in great shape and It ran before taking...

Am I dumb or no? (Broken saw)

It actually is a vent. The hose runs to the primer bulb then to carb and then to the vent. It’s a weird design. Probably just going to glue it and weld it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Am I dumb or no? (Broken saw)

I’m not sure how I would make that work since that line feeds into the primer bulb Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Am I dumb or no? (Broken saw)

Took the saw apart today and looked inside. The cylinder and piston look clean with no scuffing. I did notice the gas tank vent nipple broke off so I guess I will have to try to superglue or plastic weld it back on. Got a new handle assembly coming this week to hopefully get this girl back up...

Am I dumb or no? (Broken saw)

Yes 100 including the purchase price. I plan to use an oem handle assembly. I found a good used deal on eBay. I plan to check everything and fix what is necessary but to my understanding it was a running saw up until the tree crushed the handle. It fired up and ran on some mix gas. Maybe a carb...

I purchased this stihl ms250c that was damaged from a tree. Hopefully I can get it fixed and make a profit!? All said and done I hope to be into this thing for under 100$ Dumped some gas down the carb and it runs. Let me know your thoughts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stihl 066 project saw eBay Purchase

absolutely! This is just some quick stuff I did this weekend. I plan to take it all apart again and run it through my parts cleaner. Is it normal for the cylinder not to be stamped with the Stihl logo but Mahle?
