stihl ms260 and too much bar oil

Hey gang, picked up preowned 260 with the non adjustable bar oiler and its really putting it out. I've removed tge bar and chain as well as the plastic portion behind that to access and clean everything including what I'm being told is a breather but this thing still puts out the oil. It appears...

Matching th chain to the bar

Recently purchased a Stihl MS260 with a 16" bar and wanted to know if the new chains I have on hand will fit. The bar and chain is .326 but not sure what the other numbers mean and dont wanna tear the sprocket and new bar up with an incorrect chain. If I remember correctly the bar has a 66 on...

    Japenese Maple Damage

Hope you can help me. I just noticed today that the bark at the bottom (above the mulch) of my Japenese Maple appears to have been peeled off, some of which is laying on top of the mulch. It doesnt appear to have been rubbed off by a deer but I would have thought that if a rabbit may have done...

    Oak Pruning

I'd like to take some off of the top to lighten things up a bit and hopefully allow it to straighten back up. Any pointerson how to go...

    Husqvarna Rancher reassembly help

A buddy of mine just dropped off his new Husky Rancher to me because he is unable to get the thing reassembled. He apparently took the sprocket cover off without relieving the tension on that band that stops the sprocket assembly by disengaging the brake (hope my terminology is close) and now...

    Husqvarna 346XP Chain

Parts are starting to add up....Perhaps maybe he should just stick with the 3/8" setup and get a good chain for it???

    Husqvarna 346XP Chain

He wants to run the Oregon 20LPX in an 18" for that 455, exactly which chain is needed and which bar, I see Husqvarna has like eight different model bars on Bailey's site (I guess even an Oregon bar will work for him)? Which one would be considered stock in .325 for that Rancher?

    Husqvarna 346XP Chain

If my buddy converts that 455 from a 3/8" to a .325 he will need to change the sprocket as well as the bar, right?

How Long Does a File Last You?

How do you guys clean your files, I have several that don't appear to be cutting good and seem to think they are just dirty. I don't have any special file cleaning stuff around and usually just wipe with a rag but started thinking this may be a bad idea.

    Husqvarna 346XP Chain

Thank you SawTroll. I too was surprised to see that 3/8" on the 455 he has, came like that he said from Home Depot or Lowes.
