I gotta be losing my mind! Rebuilt 490 carb but dang I forgot where the feul line and impulse line go. I believe the impulse line goes to the top of the carb but not positive.

Having an issue with the carb not returning to idle quickly. Takes a few seconds then it will idle fine. Checked linkage and it seems fine. I rebuilt carb but wonder if the metering lever isn't set correctly or is it a pump side issue. Its a Zama C1Q carb. Also I'm cheating a little casue...

Saw starts and runs great for a while. Then while idling it dies and won’t start again. Thinking it has to do with spark as carb holds pressure. How can I test coil? I thought it might have points but it doesn’t. Almost looks like there is a Nova module but I believe it’s oem.

Is there a trick or secret to removing the rear handle black top cover to replace the throttle and linkage on an Echo 490? there is no screw and I wonder if I have to pry a thin screwdriver between the handle and cover to free it. Not my saw so I don't want to mees it up.

Replacing the piston and didn’t pay attention to the direction the spacers face. Does the smooth side face the piston or face the cylinder? Picture attached. Incorrectly stated. Does the smooth side face towards the piston wall or the rod bearing.

Oem line is split. Can I get away with some echo fuel line? The OEM line is much heavier and stiffer. I wonder if the Echo line will collapse.

I’m embarrassed to say I’ve tried several times to install the throttle linkage between the carb and throttle handle with no success. Anyone have a trick or method that works. Photo attached.

Both of the above items seem extremely loose. When I choke the saw the choke rod is pushed out of the left side notch of the handle. Also the switch shaft flops around and isn't very tight. I hope to heck that the slots for both items aren't enlarged! If so, I wonder if there is a fix or do...
