Hey Dan,
If you are going to pillage the motor out of the bike for an outlaw saw project, let me know,I'll take the rest of it off your hands.
If you are going to ride it......have fun and stock up on rear fenders and subframes.....:_)
Mike.
Big Joe,
I've got a 16" bar with a 3/8 chain running a 7 tooth rim sprocket.
I'm also using Amsoils 50-1 oil.
I would use any high quality 2 stroke bike oil.You wont have a problem.
If it says it has a (TC) rating. It will be fine in any of your air cooled engines.
Just dont use anything for...
I'm betting its the chain also,
All of my bikes with chains have a tight spot.I've never noticed it on the saw though.I probably dont tighten the chain to the point of noticing it.
I know that all chains do have that tight spot in them so I wouldnt worry.Let us know though.
Mike.
I tell ya,
All you guys must have a dark cloud following you around.
I use U.S. Postal priority mail all the time....generally 3 days and they also deliver on Saturday.I'm not advertiseing for the Postal service but if you spend the extra .75 cents and send it priority,
it ends up getting...
Dbeck.
The only explanation for the price difference is the minimum wage counter jockey putting up the wrong plastic numbers outside on the sign and punching the wrong #'s into the pump computer.....................
Dan,
If you have an impact wrench, just tap the trigger a few times making sure it is set to turn counter clockwise and it should come right off.
If you dont have one, pick an electric impact up,you will never regret getting it.
Mike.
I just removed about a cord and a 1/2 from the side of a friends house. He just sold the place and needed it gone and I was just the guy to help him out!
Anyway, this stuff smells great. It smells like it was seasoned with something to use for smoking meat or jerkey but he says it wasn't.He bought...
John,
I would be carefull.I had a Husky saw in a Stihl case last summer for a few weeks. The saw started developing what I would call a "plastic rash". Also, there was slight color deterioration.
All symtoms went away shortly after the saw was removed and placed in a Husqvarna case.
Keep us...
Cost.....Its a whole lot cheaper to swap out a rim sprocket when it wears out than to replace the whole clutch assembly when the spur is through........providing you are not buying the rim sprockets from the local dealer....... ;)
Fish,
When you get your combination Hooter/sawshop going, just make sure to hook up with a good web designer down there and get some of your girls on the webpage.
I'll put my order in on a few bars, chains and rim sprockets now
in good faith.......5% above cost and free shipping right??
Mike.
I've been staying out of these types of threads but I just have to throw my thoughts in here.
I have a great dealer and dont mind spending a couple extra bucks....blah blah blah......We've said the same things over and over. The problem is why do I need to support anyone big or small thats just...
Tim,
I understand completely now.......I've been a little slow lately.
Too many late night hrs in the garage with the kerosene torpedo heater going full blast..................................
