    How many SuperSplit owners?

Are there pieces that I could put on the SS, take a few whacks and get it split, sure, but I like to baby it. Plus I have started to become pickier than normal about the wood that I bring around.

Probably one of the slickest setup/modifications done to a SS, I think of your every time I go to move mine. Lots of useful info at the end, thanks for sharing

    How many SuperSplit owners?

Super split J model, Subaru engine(which I love) owner here. I bought it 5 or so years ago, I had the chance to go down and meet with Paul in person. I inherited an old hydraulic unit my dad bought years ago that split a lot of wood, I didn't think there was other options, until I found SS...

Red Oak - request comments on split size

I Had some standing dead Oak that I cut split and stacked to regular size splits, not too big, no too small. Let it season for over a year thinking that would be enough. I brought some in to burn and they still sizzled and hissed. From now on any oak I process will get split to smaller pieces...

    Chainsaw Pants

Looking for advice on chainsaw pants. I own a pair of the Clogger zeros and love them. I was looking for another pair to rotate in with the cloggers. I spend most of the time on the ground. Was looking at the Arbortec Breath Flex and the Pfanner Gladiators. I can get the Arbortecs local. Looking...

Really like the Helko Pro Series Splitting Axe- 28" Length

Maul ratt, I just got one of these a few months ago and like it a lot. I kind of wish it had a 31" handle option like the GB splitting axe does. Still a very nicely made axe.

    ID this tree please

The first pic resembles a mature Pignut Hickory to me, though it is a little out of focus. I do see a small poison ivy vine growing on the trunk though.

    Sweet Gum is no joke...

So I recently cut up a few rounds and decided to run them through the hydraulic splitter. The first pass, splitting the round in two is very slow. Once you have two halves it actually goes much easier. I'll split the rest and let it dry out.

    Sweet Gum is no joke...

I haven't split Sweetgum in a while, but the last time I split it I remember my log splitter screaming mercy. I recently took down a SG, and am now having second thoughts about cutting and splitting it. May try a few pieces for the heck of it

    Good commercial woodsplitter

That's a pretty cool machine if you have the space and wood.

    Another Dead Red Oak

Great pictures and videos. Looks like you have a nice piece of forest to be working in. What a shame to see all those big mature oaks dying off, at least you are making good use out of them!! Love the helper.
