Looks like I'm going to need a new 250+kbtu gasification IWB, recommendations?

Also have Garns, but looking at your system I might go another way, unless you have money to burn. If your current set up takes care of most of your load say 80% top it as need ed with Propane whatever best works for you. I have some friends in a commercial set up that do that, the wood boiler...

    Echo CS-490

I have the 590, they are slightly heavier than a pro Stihl etc equivalent, but I am mainly using it for bucking. Baileys 10 pack will get your chain price down to $10, they take a 70 link chain rather than the usual 72.

Tough decision on the future of my firewood

Begs the question if your current Boiler is up to the additional load. Replace it was a Gasser and burn 10 cords?

I had 6 Pines, 70 years old to take down. Right next to the building. $400 for a chain saw and do not remember how much for 100ft of rope. Got as far up as I could in the tree and roped it from there to the truck. Tensioned the rope cut the base most of the way and then helped it over with...

    Firewood bucking/splitting rate

Firewood here is $150 top whack, $185 down by Denver. I spent this afternoon stacking, I think it takes me on average 40 minutes to stack a cord, a little bit longer to split and about the same to block, obviously depends on length. About $40 a cord delivered logs plus 3 hours max per cord. I...

    Firewood bucking/splitting rate

What about the wood in the first place? Transporting it. You need a Computer, Internet connection, telephone, those cost. Unless that $200 is come and get it yourself, you have to load and deliver, truck cost, maintenance, insurance etc. The land they are on, he paid for it, mortgage, tax...

Introducing the new Log Splitter Line from DHT (Dirty Hand Tools)

Odd, I have never heard of that, plus Euro land is Metric so it would be liters. 5 US gallons is nearly 4 Imperial Gallons, but you would not express it that way either.
