Thanks for all the replies. Good information. On the 309 Dolmars, if I remember right the ignition is one to keep if you have to scrap out the saw. I think it will work on other saws, but just my thoughts, remember the McCullough/wacker. Tom

I checked with my 2-cycle go-to man and he said Pioneer/Partner, Dolmar and possibly McCullough, not sure. I believe that if McCullough made one he would remember it. So I stand corrected, not the first time. Tom

All of the above. It could be cracked part of the way around the circumference of the sprocket and when you poll the cord it expands and causes binding.

That was quick. Thank you very much. I have a 302S that cranks and runs very good, but I stripped the threads on the crank that holds the sprocket on and I think the crank is the same on both saws Just different piston size. I am not sure so I needed both IPLS. That will give me a bigger...

when I was selling on fleabay I would pick up used boxes at the tobacco store. They come with the top cut off. I would use either packing peanuts or go to the carpet store and get used padding to pack with. Be sure to drain all gas and oil and put in a garbage bag with the top tied together...
