I’m trying to get the 9 yo grandson to try my gourmet peanut butter and jelly sammiches.

Take two pieces of fresh white bread, next room temperature peanut butter spread on both sides of the white bread. Next smuckers grape jelly on one slice of white bread a thick layer. Make your sammiches. Enjoy. Great energy booster in the woods.

I like to swap out the grape jelly for pineapple jam or jelly too. Another great sammiches for working in the woods add a quart of milk. Enjoy.
 
PB&J is an EXCELLENT snack when working.

Fat
Protein
Carbs
Vitamin-B from the bread

Jelly dosnt do anything for ya and jam hardly does but they taste good. Very little fruit. Mostly sugar.


I like PB& banana. Get that potassium boost !

And/of PB& sweet pickle.

Milk is a nice addition. I don’t usually take that with me. Just some tea or water usually.


Ill take dried fruit out there with me. That stuff is great too.

Being a type 2 diabetic it was p&j sammiches and milk chocolate bars that kept my sugar levels up instead of going too low when working hard.
