I'm curious as to why the notch in the brake handle and how'd it happen? It certainly looks like it's been dressed a little with a ziz wheel? It doesn't affect functionality sure, just never seen anything like that in the left side area of a brake handle.

I have a similar mark on one of my brake handles. I got the bar pinched and nicked the handle when I was trying to cut it out. The one above looks like it has a little extra work though.
