This video was just post on youtube on 12/17/11.
He tests it on some nastier wood.
It needs a table so he doesn't have to keep bending over to pick up the pieces for a re-split, but that's easy to build.

Enjoy,

Looks OK for perfect wood but I can split that stuff with a maul. A splitter should be able to split the big nasty stuff and that machine doesn't look productive to me in that respect.

Well I've had mine for a full week now and have split about 15 cord so far. I have expermited with it and have yet to find a round it wouldn't split. Including knotted up twisted crap I usually toss asside. Its not perfect I think the push plate is too small and the table should be standard equipment. The Subaru motor runs and starts just fine and it uses a WHOLE LOT LESS fuell! It;s easy to move around with the handles but they are a little cheesey and the fastners come loose quickly. The edge of the table is the same height as my 1-cord delivery dump trailer which makes it easy to split the rounds and push the firewood right onto the trailer for stacking and delivery. The speed is definately there. and the newness has not worn off yet I like it and the best part is it is way easier on my back than my other three splitters. I would buy it again.

To bad that guy didn't have a clue how to use that splitter. He hit every piece wrong. That would could have been split easier and faster if he knew how to work that thing. He does need a splitting table for sure. These are great machines and the more tine you spend on one the better you both get.
