Blueberry Baron
Well...
One of the gang here was needing an AR built for zapping pesky woodchucks and other varmints on his Farm. Had to be reliable, MIl-spec tough to deal with bouncing around on a quad and behind the truck seat, and accurate.
I was needing a 90+cc Saw for future Milling, and to whittle a few Monsters down, Happen to have built and maintained firearms as a job description and still have the FFL.
The 395XP dosn't seem to have been thrashed much at all, Compression feels plenty healthy but I have yet to put it on the gauge. It runs great and grunts through Elm like butter with an 8 Pin and a 20" bar, and trying to get her to bog. LOL!! I can LEAN on this one, and it's running just a smidge rich from my ear. a 36" Oregon bar and several loops of JGX were tossed into the pile as well as the 20" and a couple loops of LGX.
So, the AR upper got my last Blackened Kreiger Stainless 1-8 Med. contour midlength Gas system 18" , "Wylde" chambered 5.56x45 Barrel. LMT T marked M4 Upper receiver, M.I. #9T floated rail, YHM. flip up front sight/ Gas system, and a M.I. flip up emergency rear sight, and a G.I. A2 compensator. Bolt carrier group is a polished LMT with a lapped and fitted Gas key and M4 extractor upgrades.
The last barrel from that lot went into the .3's reliably with Mk262Mod2 ammo, so I'm hoping this one is as good.
That's one of my Lowers on the rifle, as the final parts needed to complete the new Lower aren't in yet.
Now I gotta get busy with a Muffler mod on the 395 and other tweaks.
Parris and his endless 394/395 projects are killing me!!!
Has anybody done a left side Muff mod using a 288 deflector?
Stay safe!
