I know this is supposed to go in the wanted section, but I need a good used 4200 crankshaft if anyone has a spare.

Bought a clean/washed saw last year & when I opened it up this weekend the big end was all rusted & both main bearings too. He probably didn’t cover the air filter during a power wash & that carb points straight down into the case...can’t fix stupid.

The 5200 uses the same one.

I asked for some measurements for a full wrap handle in one of the forms with red saws a while back and bumped it twice and still no answer. If I had asked in this forum I would have had answers stacked up before the day was done. That's the way it should be so thanks to all for your help to each other

I saw that Todd. You fella's in here definitely do your darndest to help someone out and feel welcome. I have a red saw with an issue too and no real point in asking there unfortunately. Perhaps I should put a poulan sticker on it and ask here haha.

Have you got a 390 and need a full wrap or are you seeing if it could fit another saw? My mate has one but it's a half wrap

I was looking at a husqvarna full wrap handle on flebay and just wanted to get the size. Though I could make it fit by cutting the brace bar and making any changes required then reweld it. They are only about 40 to 50 bucks. I went to the dealer but they didn't have any full wraps. I will get it figured out sometime

Ahh right I new you must of had a plan for it. I've got a little 350 and its behaving like it has a limited coil but only just above idle. It makes induction noise as the throttle is opened but will not rev at all. Silly as it will run great for ages then you go start it again and it does that are any of the plastic poulans part of that family?

All, I think the Poulan Thread started by Nick (AKA FATGUY) years ago is one of, if not the best on AS. I have saws from many manufacturers in several cc sizes and have to admit I was/am a Homelite junkie before seeing "the light" with Poulans! They're just so FUN to work on! I have to say I wouldn't have the collection I do without everyone's help and hospitality here on the Poulan Thread and hope to one day be able to repay the favors given me by others. Bob Redunshee , Stephen Acorn Hill, Gary Guido Salvage to name just a few for parts and such, and too many to list for advice and counsel. Thanks guys, let's keep it up! Max.
