This is about the two old Husky's 36 that I rebuild and modded, some of this has been in some other thread's, but anyway here is something about them.
They need a rebuild and I was thinking why not mod them to see how they preform after that :help:
Took them apart and cleaned them up, porting polishing the cylinders. Ported them a bit different to see if it make a big difference in cutting.

Dang dishwasher does one helluva job! The porting and polishing is pretty! Some folks insist that these are just Poulans... nice to see the "Sweden" stamped on the crank. I've had a good time with my 41/141.. keep us posted on the port mods.. I'm considering the same.

Getting to the end by the time, this was something that I was doing when there was time for it now and then, but get them up and running at last ;)

The "Green" one is sort of wood ported, and the "Blue" one is extremed ported and that one gave me a little problem so I had to get the ignition timing a bit earlier to get it to run good  and they are muffler modded, and set up whit Carlton .325 .050 NK chain

Here is some Video's of the testing of the chainsaws, there is not mush difference in small wood, but a little more in a tiny bit bigger wood, the "Blue" extreme one is a tiny bit faster then the "Green" one. The "Blue" one seems to bog down a little bit but it's still faster then the "Green"one. But remember this is 36cc saws, not 63cc  Here is some Video's from the testing

Yes  Have to do video of them, but as I was saying, remember that they are 36cc not 63cc

Nice videos.

The truth is that you can get a lot of work done with a small saw and a sharp chain. Those saws seem to move along nicely, and I suspect that they're a good bit more lively than stock form and definitely more lively than most consumer-grade <40cc saws!

Great job on those saws! I just finished a 36 myself and it turned out nice, but it dosen't cut like that!

I think this saws are now more or less taken to the max of what one can get out of them cos of the open cylinder construction whit it's limitation, it would be very hard to get more power out of them. But now they are running very good and faster then 40cc-45cc homeowner saws. The drawback is that they use more gas, especially the "Blue" one that is ported to the extreme, but maybe I could pipe the "Blue" one to see if it became any faster
