    Help! Wood boiler shooting steam

    Picked up a home made wood boiler modeled after a central boiler. Temperature gauge indicates water is at 180* however there is steam shooting out of the vent cap. It seems to be heating the house fine, and has been for over a week. Should I be worried? How do I fix?

    so I’m sure this has been talked about, but here it goes. My stove is set at 165 on and 180 off for the water temp. A buddy of mine has his set at 170 on and 175 off? He says it burns less wood if you set the difference closer because the fan don’t run as long? But in my mind it has to run...

    Help OWB losing too much heat at exchanger

    We have a Central Boiler CL 5036 and we think we are losing too much heat at return and need help troubleshooting. We have temp gauges at the boiler that measure outgoing and incoming water temp and we have noticed that when the furnace is running we are at a 40-50 degree difference (loss). I.e...
