026 muffler modification

This is how I’ve done the last few 026 mufflers. Kind of a “stealth” mod. Spark screen will be reinstalled. How have you modified your 026 muffler?

Do you notice a difference? I picked one up that needs a rebuild. I will be diving into it shortly so I may do that while it's apart.

Yes it makes a difference. As the mad professor mentioned, there’s a few different mufflers for the 026. If you’ve got the type with the baffle covering the exhaust port (cylinder side) get rid of it, opening the outlet won’t do much for you.
