029S muffler mod

hello all Im new here I looked up and found how to do a muffler mod on my 029S and did one,not to much but when i was reinstalling i snapped off one of the muffler bolts never good can i buy new ones should i replace all 3 thank you.

hi welcome to the site you can buy the new bolts at a stihl dealer and if the other two arent rusty and the threads look ok you dont need to replace them but you could just go ahead and do it if you want to to be safe good luck.

Replace all three, send me the two were OK. Just messin wit ya. Replace the broken one, put some W-40 on the others. Don't get too heavy with the wrench! They be small bolts.

You also need the special deformed locking nut, and the wave washer if you lost it.

wow that was fast thank you i will hit the shop tomarrow do i need to do any thing after ajusting idle srews (had to remove plastic cover crap thingys )

Put two new plastic thingys back on... 50 cents each... Slice the locking tab off before inserting...
