346xp muff mod ?

Is a 1/2 hole through the mounting bracket enough for a muffler mod i know its nothing fancy but its just a work saw.

I use a 12mm x 24mm hole on the side in addition to the stock opening. I do use a spark screen. I do not recommend a hole in the front bc it will cause wood to get hot enough to char.
